Event: 2016 Sierra Oro Farm Trail Passport Weekend

It's that time of year again, time for harvesting the bounty of Northern California and time for the Sierra Oro Farm Trail Passport Weekend on October 8th and 9th. This year will mark the 11th Annual Passport Weekend and the first year that Sohnrey Family Foods will be on the trail along with 30 other farms, wineries, and specialty food shops!

Pre-sale tickets for the Passport Weekend (Oct. 8-9) are available now through www.SierraOro.org and regular ticket sales are starting September 8th at all Butte County area Tri-Counties Bank Branches and local area Chambers of Commerce.

For the Passport Weekend the Sohnrey Family Foods gift shop will be sampling 10 different roasted and seasoned almonds, 10 different candied almonds, three flavors of almond butter, and our cousins from Knaughty Farms will be sampling their COOC certified extra virgin olive oil. We will have cold drinks, clean restrooms and plenty of parking! Be sure to schedule a stop at our gift shop on your Farm Trail journey!

From the Sierra Oro Farm Trail website:
This annual sell-out event showcases more than 30 Butte County wineries and specialty farms, including five new locations that will be a part of the popular culinary adventure on October 8th & 9th, 2016 (Columbus Day Weekend).

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, a passport opens the doors to amazing specialty farms and local wineries where visitors will share samples of tasty artisan olive oils, specialty nuts, award-winning wines and much more. Prior to the Passport Weekend, interested passport holders can view all participating farms and wineries online to help pre-plan their route. Passport holders can set their own pace, take self-guided tours of the scenic agricultural trails, meet local farmers and winemakers and sample offerings at locally-owned wineries and specialty farms located throughout Butte County.
